Class 1 High Intensity Grade Reflective for Traffic and Safety Signs

Class 1 High Intensity Grade reflective film was developed to provide greater reflectivity and durability when used for traffic and industrial safety signs. Provides wide-angle reflectivity of incident light providing excellent night and day visibility. The film consists of a layer of microscopic glass beads of high optical quality embedded on a coloured film that react as lenses. A metallised back provides the mirror surface for reflection.

Applications

• Flat application or slight 2D curved surfaces.

• Ideally suited for permanent lamination onto scratch brushed aluminium panels.

• Screen printable.

• Suited for Dry Application (Wet not recommended).

• High visibility film particularly suited to flat highway and industrial safety signs requiring night time visibility.

• Some plastics may out gas causing bubbling of the applied film. Plastics need to be evaluated to ensure out gassing will not occur.

• Electrolytic corrosion may occur when applied to some uncoated metals.

• Complies to AS/NZS 1906.1 and is approved for use by RTA and all relevant authorities in Australia and New Zealand.

• 10 years outdoor durability.

• Good dimensional stability.

• Colour range; White, Yellow, Red, Blue and Brunswick Green (brown available if required).

• Tamper resistant, designed to break into small pieces making removal difficult.

• Should removability be required, we would recommend applying the reflective decal on to a vinyl film. The expected durability of the construction would be less than the stated durability of the weakest component.

• Hard, durable surface coating resists scratching chipping and exposure to solvents.

• Permanent solvent-based acrylic adhesive.
